Double-click on the installation file to start the installation:
Start the installation by pressing Install
If you get an error message after the installation process is complete, it may be because you have a space in your Windows username. Try unpacking the installation file manually by following the steps below. We have written how to do this in both Windows 11 and Windows 10.
This is for Windows 11
If the path to the folder that handles "My Documents" and "Downloaded Files" etc. contains a space in your username (\Firstname_space_Password\) you need to manually unpack the installation file, otherwise an error message will appear during installation. To unzip, you can for example use WinRAR/WinZIP or preferably the easy to use and compact 7-zip: https://www.7-zip.org/
Then you can right-click on the file you downloaded and choose Show more options
Then select 7-zip followed by Unzip to "IronCAD_DCS2023SP1_SWE\
Then run the installation file itself in the new folder by right-clicking on the *.exe file and selecting Run as administrator:
This applies to Windows 10

Then you can right-click on the file you downloaded and choose to unzip it into a new folder which will be created automatically.
Then run the installation file itself in the new folder by right-clicking on the *.exe file and selecting Run as administrator:
Press I Accept followed by Next
Make sure to uncheck IC Mechanical before proceeding. Then press Install
If not, you will get a message that a Customized Version of IC Mechanical is installed on your computer. Scroll down to Customized Version in this guide for more information.
You will get a red cross on the IC Mechanical and that is exactly how it should be. As you already have our ISO customized installation installed from the installation of IRONCAD 2024.
Then press Finish to complete the installation.
It may look like the installation process is stuck but it is a message from IC Mechanical behind the SP1 installation box. Click on the icon as shown:
Now this message will appear and this means that the installation wants to add the American version but will not do so as we have a Customized Version (ie our ISO-adapted version of IC Mechanical) already installed(installed in connection with the IRONCAD 2024 installation). So everything is in order. Then press OK on this message:
SP1 for IRONCAD 2024 will be installed but not the US version of the IC Mechanical and it will be shown with a red cross. Then press Finish
