Bend plate, expand, send as DXF to laser

Many designs include bent sheet metal of various kinds. You can easily create these in IRONCAD with the extensive Sheet Metal functions included. Create different types of bent sheets, simple bend or as e.g. lofted sheets (e.g. "round to square") by beam bending. Select bend radius and customizable K-factor. On an associative 2D drawing you can show the angle at which each individual bend should be bent. You can get started in no time!

Depicting 3D models on 2D drawings

Quickly create dimensioned assembly and detail drawings in 2D, including parts lists that automatically retrieve information from 3D such as item number, material and number of parts included in the assembly. The parts list can be exported to Excel if desired.

With IRONCAD , the time to create clear and selling documentation such as spare parts lists and assembly instructions is reduced to a minimum.

Drivex is one of Sweden's leading suppliers of equipment for construction machinery. All new development at the company now takes place using IRONCAD as a 3D CAD tool. The company was founded in Edsbyn in 1969 by three brothers who, together with their families, are still the majority owners of the company. "After first working with IRONCAD , then with a parametric 3D CAD system, I realized how powerful IRONCAD is and immediately wanted to go back! Now that we can choose freely, we use IRONCAD again. Broddson opted out of constraints-based parametric 3D program

Richard Liljedahl of Broddson says of IRONCAD:"We felt that our previous parametric CAD system was competent, but that parametric design was too cumbersome. Conditions and constraints must be managed, similar to building a house of cards.Inaddition, each detail has to be saved directly to its own file, which is of no use to us - we want to be able to create and modify as easily as possible".

Broddson was therefore looking for an alternative 3D CAD solution. Richard continues:"I happened to see a movie on YouTube showing how IRONCAD worked. I immediately thought that this seems to be something completely different! I downloaded IRONCAD and tried it myself and together with the training material in Swedish, which is also available on YouTube, I quickly got started."
