Improves efficiency with DDM

Kalmar Motor AB has recently experienced a surge in new orders and needed a way to improve the efficiency of their design and file management. They currently use Autodesk Inventor as their primary 3D solution and were looking for a PDM system to better manage their large library of 3D CAD files and drawings.

They also liked the MultiCAD support and flexibility of DDM which meant they didn't have to be tied to a single CAD supplier if their requirements changed in the future.

We also wanted the same system to be able to handle all other documentation of different file formats such as email and office files etc. These documents will in turn be linked to various CAD files and vice versa. With DDM we will always know which version of a part or document is the latest, as well as which version was used for development or production from each department."
