Packaging and shipping solutions can be made in different ways and customers' demands for economical and smart solutions are constantly increasing. NEFAB meets these demands proactively and is at the forefront in terms of technology and environmental thinking. This has now been recognised and rewarded with an honourable prize.
Many industries and companies need to transport their products between their own factories or to customers all over the world. To ensure that goods arrive undamaged and can be handled efficiently during transport, different types of packaging and packaging solutions are created. There are a large number of players in the market offering services in this area. Competition is fierce and customer demands for cost-effectiveness and environmental friendliness are growing. As a result, companies that want to survive in this competitive market need to think differently and work with the sharpest tools in product development and CAD support. That's why NEFAB has chosen to focus on IRONCAD and is now a world leader in packaging and operating globally.
NEFAB has had many successes, most recently winning 2 awards at the WorldStar Packaging Contest 2023, the first being "Packaging materials and components" and NEFAB's winning solution FiberFlute as a replacement for foam plastic. This makes packaging more environmentally friendly and smarter. FiberFlute is based on fibrous materials and can be recycled like paper. In addition, FibeFlute provides more shock absorption with less material than foam plastic (PE foam). The second prize is for a straw-based packaging solution for lithium-ion batteries (LiBs). The solution reduces the environmental impact of packaging and the overall costs of the supply chain.
NEFAB uses IRONCAD globally in several different areas and materials: wood, metal, plastic and corrugated board. A new functionality for corrugated board has been developed in recent years. It provides users with a solution that creates packaging around the goods directly in 3D and unfolded corrugated board for manufacturing.
