Follow this guide to readjust your US base installation to metric ISO system with Swedish base instead.
NOTE! Make sure IRONCAD is closed before you do this!
Start by downloading and unpacking this file containing all the metric custom templates:
Copy the unpacked \Template folder.
Go to this path:
C:\Users\*YOUR USER*\AppData\Roaming\IronCAD\IRONCAD\26.0\en-us
You can also use this "quick access" to the folder: %appdata%\IronCAD \ IRONCAD\26 .0\en-us
Right-click on the existing \Template folder and select Delete.
Paste the new \Template folder instead.
Download and unpack our customized plate tables with Swedish designations from this link:
Download plate tables for v2024
Now copy both the Stocktbl.txt and Tooltbl.txt plate tables.
Go to this folder:
C:\Users\*YOUR USER*\AppData\Local\IronCAD\IRONCAD\26.0\en-us\SheetMetal
You can also use this "quick access" to the folder: %localappdata%\IronCAD \ IRONCAD\26 .0\en-us\SheetMetal
Delete the two existing files and paste the new files there (or just replace them).
You can also go to the program's installation path and paste and replace the two files there too:
C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2024\AppData\en-us\SheetMetal
This makes the plate tables immediately correct for any new user of the same computer.
If you get an error message after the installation process is complete, it may be because you have a space in your Windows username. Try unpacking the installation file manually by following the steps below. We have written how to do this in both Windows 11 and Windows 10.
This is for Windows 11
If the path to the folder that handles "My Documents" and "Downloaded Files" etc. contains a space in your username (\Firstname_space_Password\) you need to manually unpack the installation file, otherwise an error message will appear during installation. To unzip, you can for example use WinRAR/WinZIP or preferably the easy to use and compact 7-zip: https://www.7-zip.org/
Then you can right-click on the file you downloaded and choose Show more options
Then select 7-zip followed by Unzip to "IronCAD_DCS2023SP1_SWE\
Then run the installation file itself in the new folder by right-clicking on the *.exe file and selecting Run as administrator:
This applies to Windows 10
If the path to the folder that handles "My Documents" and "Retrieved Files" etc. contains a space in your username (\Firstname_Space_Password\) you need to manually unzip the installation file, otherwise an error message will appear during installation. To unzip, you can use WinRAR/WinZIP or the easy to use and compact 7-zip: https://www.7-zip.org/
Then you can right-click on the file you downloaded and choose to unzip it into a new folder which will be created automatically.
Then run the installation file itself in the new folder by right-clicking on the *.exe file and selecting Run as administrator:
Download and unpack our customized catalogues from this link:
Copy all contents of the \Drawing folder
Paste and replace the catalogs at this path: C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2024\AppData\en-us\Catalogs\Drawing
Then do the same with the contents of the \Scene folder (copy all contents)
Paste and replace the catalogs at this path: C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2024\AppData\en-us\Catalogs\Scene
Download and unzip this file which contains two registry files:
Download register files for v2024
This is what happens when the registry entries are installed.
*CUS = Current User Settings -> this is enforced for the currently logged in user via \\CURRENT USER and replaces existing registry settings, but does not delete any (e.g. if you have opened more files than are set in CUS etc).
*NUS = New User Settings -> this changes the basic settings under \\LOCAL MACHINE used by CUS when a new Windows user runs IC for the first time.
Then double-click on one registry file at a time to install it(repeat the same process below for both files).
You will get a warning message that looks like the picture below
Click Yes on this box followed by OK.
When installing the basic US version of IronCAD DCS 2024, a US version of the add-on IronCAD Mechanical (also called ICM). It is not possible to cross-install one language version of the ICM (US) with another language version (Swe). Therefore, you need to uninstall an existing version to replace it with another one.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs and uninstall existing (US) installation of IronCAD Mechanical .
Download and install our Swedish version of the IC add-on Mechanical:
