Follow this guide to readjust your US base installation to metric ISO system with Swedish base instead.
NOTE! Make sure IRONCAD is closed before you do this!
Start by downloading and unzipping this ZIP file containing all the metrically adapted templates:
Copy the unpacked \Template folder.
Go to this path:
C:\Users\*YOUR USER*\AppData\Roaming\IronCAD\IRONCAD\27.0\en-us
You can also use this general "quick access" to the folder: %appdata%\IronCAD\IRONCAD\27.0\en-us
Right-click on the existing \Template folder and select Delete.
Paste the new \Template folder instead.
Download and unpack our customized plate tables with Swedish designations from this link:
Download sheet metal tables for v2025
Now copy both the Stocktbl.txt and Tooltbl.txt plate tables.
Go to this folder:
C:\Users\*YOUR USER*\AppData\Local\IronCAD\IRONCAD\27.0\en-us\SheetMetal
You can also use this general "quick access" to the folder: %localappdata%\IronCAD\IRONCAD\27.0\en-us\SheetMetal
Delete the two existing files and paste the new files there (or just replace them).
You can also go to the program's installation path and paste and replace the two files there too:
C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2025\AppData\en-us\SheetMetal
This makes the plate tables immediately correct for any new user of the same computer.
If you get an error message after the installation process is complete, it may be because you have a space in your Windows username. Try unpacking the installation file manually by following the steps below. We have written how to do this in both Windows 11 and Windows 10.
This is for Windows 11
If the path to the folder that handles "My Documents" and "Downloaded Files" etc. contains a space in your username (\Firstname_space_Password\) you need to manually unpack the installation file, otherwise an error message will appear during installation. To unzip, you can for example use WinRAR/WinZIP or preferably the easy to use and compact 7-zip: https://www.7-zip.org/
Then you can right-click on the file you downloaded and choose Show more options

Then select 7-zip followed by Unzip to "IronCAD_DCS2023SP1_SWE\

Then run the installation file itself in the new folder by right-clicking on the *.exe file and selecting Run as administrator:

This applies to Windows 10
If the path to the folder that handles "My Documents" and "Retrieved Files" etc. contains a space in your username (\Firstname_Space_Password\) you need to manually unzip the installation file, otherwise an error message will appear during installation. To unzip, you can use WinRAR/WinZIP or the easy to use and compact 7-zip: https://www.7-zip.org/
Then you can right-click on the file you downloaded and choose to unzip it into a new folder which will be created automatically.

Then run the installation file itself in the new folder by right-clicking on the *.exe file and selecting Run as administrator:

Download and unpack our customized catalogues from this link:
Copy all contents of the \Drawing folder
Paste and replace the catalogs in this path: C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2025\AppData\en-us\Catalogs\Drawing
Then do the same with the contents of the \Scene folder (copy all contents)
Paste and replace the catalogs in this path: C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2025\AppData\en-us\Catalogs\Scene
Download and unzip this ZIP file, which contains a number of registry files:
Download registry files for v2025
The REG files for IRONCAD are named 2025SP1-IC_CUS.reg and 2025SP1-IC_NUS.reg.
The REG files for INOVATE are named 2025SP1-IV_CUS.reg and 2025SP1-IV_NUS.reg.
The REG files for IRONCAD DRAFT are named 2025SP1-ID_CUS.reg and 2025SP1-ID_NUS.reg.
The REG files for IRONCAD COMPOSE are named 2025SP1-CM_CUS.reg and 2025SP1-CM_NUS.reg.
These registry files change, among other things, the Options settings to our recommended settings and take effect the next time the program is started.
Read more about our recommended settings here.
*CUS = Current User Settings -> applies to the currently logged-in user via \\CURRENT USER and replaces existing registry settings, but does not delete any existing settings (e.g., if you have opened more files than what is set in "CUS" etc.).
*NUS = New User Settings -> changes the default settings under \\LOCAL MACHINE, which are then copied to "CUS" when a new Windows user runs IC for the first time.
Then double-click on one registry file at a time to install it(repeat the same process below for both files).
You will get a warning message that looks like the picture below

Click Yes on this box followed by OK.

When installing the US basic version of IronCAD 2025, an American version of the add-on IronCAD Mechanical (also known as ICM). It is not possible to install one "region-specific version" of IC Mech over another version. For example, the US version cannot be installed over the Swedish version, and vice versa.
Therefore, you must first uninstall an existing version in order to replace it with another.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs and uninstall existing (US) installation of IronCAD Mechanical .
Download and install our Swedish edition of the IC Mechanical add-on:
