Chose WoodLAB 3D CAD/CAM solution after careful evaluation

Asteberg has successfully created kitchens and interiors in a wide range of styles, materials and functions. All production takes place in their own carpentry workshop in Hyssna, which further adds to their commitment to quality and sustainability. They have now added WoodLAB to their production arsenal, which will help them streamline and optimize production down to the smallest detail.

"Using the built-in tools, it's really quick to either create new cabinets and drawers or reuse existing kitchens that are easily adapted to new conditions. With a few clicks, things such as dimensions, design of fronts (e.g. recessed or surface-mounted), number of drawers, etc. Holes for hinges, drawer joints and plugs are created automatically. The 3D model together with a 2D drawing of the kitchen, in addition to the production basis, provides a good basis for showing customers. And when we are going to manufacture, we get the finished CNC program for our advanced Biesse milling machine automatically via the CAM section in WoodLAB , without the need for 2D drawings. This saves us a lot of time. We are also satisfied with the training and adaptation of postprocessors on site that we have received." says Anders Sörli at Astebergs.

Two CNC machines in one

This ingenious system, developed by Italian CNC machine manufacturer Biesse, makes it possible to combine nesting and traditional pods & rails on a single machine. The machine rests on a rather long frame (5540 mm) which allows the operator to transform the right part of his machine into a TF-type Nesting table (with a length of 2800 mm), while keeping its traditional function on the left part with pods & rails!

The CFT system consists of a support panel equipped with integrated suction channels. The panel is placed on the suction cups and then connected to the vacuum pump. With this system you can perform nesting on a machine with pods & rails. This is an ideal compromise. This machine is very easily controlled by woodLAB (www.woodlab.eu), which integrates both nesting and traditional nesting in a fully integrated way without third party software.
