About Pendax

Pendax AB is a leading company in audio and communications technology that also develops blackout and sun protection solutions, as well as interior design for meeting rooms. The company works with a wide variety of materials, from aluminum profiles to steel and plastic components, and its projects range from entire floors in buildings to small enclosures for electronics. The business is divided into Pendax AB and AudicomPendax AB, the latter being a systems integrator that builds meeting and training rooms. All product design is done in IRONCAD.

The Challenge

Ideas and concepts must be turned into physical products that meet high quality standards and customer requirements, and they must be presented professionally to customers and stakeholders even before they exist. Furthermore, the products must be adaptable and customizable by multiple people within the organization, and the design data must be transferred to CNC milling and business systems without errors.

IRONCAD It makes it quick and easy to design complex components and assemblies. Virtual prototypes allow Pendax to optimize the design, identify problems, and make changes before production begins. The software is flexible, with few limitations, and easy to teach to colleagues who create variations and customizations. Together with KeyShot , the software produces photorealistic images and animations in a short amount of time.

How Pendax Operates Today

• Detailed 3D models of audio and communication products, sunshades, and conference room furnishings
• Technical drawings and production documentation are generated from the model
• Design files are shared within the team and with clients for feedback
• Photorealistic images and animations in KeyShot for presentations
• Models are exported with the click of a button to the production department for the company's own CNC milling machine, which manufactures wooden panels and whiteboards for the Pendax Custom Shop
• All manufacturing documentation, including CNC programs, is uploaded to the Odoo business system
