Since 1950, Saltängens Mekaniska AB has specialized in machining, repairs, and welding of large machine parts and other industrial structures. The workshop, spanning over 5,000 square meters, houses a machine park capable of handling most tasks, including turning operations up to 13 meters and a lifting capacity of up to 30 metric tons. This has made the company one of Sweden’s most trusted industrial partners in machining and welding.
The projects range from large, unique structures to industrial components. One example is Bridge K23 for the new Inre Hamnen residential area in Norrköping: 10 meters long, 6 meters wide, and weighing 27 metric tons, including fabrication, on-site assembly, and complete documentation. Manufacturing documentation must be produced quickly, and the solutions must be presented visually to both clients and internal teams.
IRONCAD is a convenient tool that allows Saltängens Mekaniska to quickly and easily design and create manufacturing drawings, while also presenting various solutions to customers. The program is primarily used for sheet metal designs, flat patterns, steel frames, and cutting files.
Large and complex structures are delivered with high quality, speed, and precision, and the time from design to production has been reduced. Communication with customers has become clearer thanks to visual presentations.
