Version 2027 introduced the ability to extrude toward the surface of another part. This means you can now use a point or surface from another part as a mirror plane or as a “stop” for an extrusion.

NOTE: Keep in mind that this type of “reference” requires that the referenced object remain stable over time, continue to exist, and not change “too much.” If the reference is lost, the model will no longer be able to maintain its properties and will therefore cease to function.
