Combine complete freedom with fixed constraints

IRONCAD truly IRONCAD a unique approach that allows you to combine complete freedom with locked constraints—in other words, it doesn’t require “fully defined” models like many other 3D CAD systems do, but only “partially defined” ones (if you can call them that). It is still possible to work with the models and achieve full precision in both their positioning and shape modification.

A little while ago, Henrik showed in another video how he can make various modifications to our excavator arm in an incredibly smooth way. But he never really explains how he set things up to make those kinds of modifications possible in the first place. It’s not difficult at all to do on basically any model. So you can try this yourself on our excavator arm or on your own model.

At IronCAD , you can find our training materials for the excavator arm.
