Live Update (or IronCAD Update Utility as it is actually called) is a software used to automatically download updates to the IronCAD DCS programs installed on your computer. This may sound like a good feature, but unfortunately these automatic updates cause problems for those of us who have installed our customized Swedish/metric version.
As we at Solidmakarna make adjustments to the US installation file after it has been released, it usually takes a couple of days before we finish these adjustments.
This means that you as a user through Live Update get an "incorrect" installation, i.e. the American version instead of our customized version. This applies in particular to the extension IronCAD Mechanical which is available in both an American and Swedish edition. You may also have noticed that you receive notifications that there is an update even though you have installed the latest update.
Unfortunately, we have seen that Live Update has caused more frustration than help for many of our users, so we recommend that you disable it, partly to avoid notifications but also to avoid getting a "wrong" installation / customization. Then it is better to wait a few days and get a mailing from us with the "correct" installation file.
-> The latest version can always be found on our Download Center.
At the Windows clock, you have a black "IRONCAD bar" icon (it can also be hidden under an arrow with more icons) called IronCAD Update Utility and looks like this:

If you click on the icon, a dialog box appears as shown below.
Start by checking off Version Installed to Check:

Then click on the gear in the right corner and check the three options as shown below and then click on the Save icon:

Now you should not receive any more notifications about automatic updates for your installation.
