Review of the basics of creating a new plate in IRONCAD. The shapes Stock, Curved Stock, Conic Stock and settings.

Exercise 2 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

5 min 56 sec

Clock

Builds a simple bent plate and at the same time goes through features like Add Stock, Add Curved Stock, Vertex Fillet and Vertex Chamfer.

Exercise 3 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

7 min 55 sec

Clock

Continues on the curved plate, adding curves and going through its settings.

Exercise 4 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

4 min 43 sec

Clock

We continue with ticks, here Bend with Stock and the setting Associate to Attached Edge End.

Exercise 5 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

9 min 29 sec

Clock

Review of Bend without Autosize, copying Bend, Relief, Punches and settings for building a sheet metal box.

Exercise 6 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

7 min 38 sec

Clock

We build a lid with different Bend features and use Punches to make holes.

Exercise 7 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

4 min 23 sec

Clock

Finishing the plates for the box with Punches and Forming Stamps.

Exercise 8 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

10 min 30 sec

Clock

We go through different variations to copy Bend features and use the handles to adjust the length of the sheet.

Exercise 9 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

9 min 13 sec

Clock

Bending sheet metal around two blocks and testing different variations of Bend features and reviewing how they work. Uses the handles to adjust the shape of the bends.

Exercise 10 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

10 min 4 sec

Clock

We build a paper holder in sheet metal. Working with the tools in Sketch and Bend features.

Exercise 11 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

9 min 46 sec

Clock

Close and straighten corners with the Add Closed Corner and Add Miter Flange tools and customize bends.

Exercise 12 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

8 min 5 sec

Clock

We go through how to convert "regular part" to a Sheet Metalpart and use Sketched Bend to create bends.

Exercise 13 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

8 min 11 sec

Clock

We create a bracket around a VKR pipe with Loftad sheet metal.

Exercise 14 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

8 min 22 sec

Clock

We create a transition between two parts with Loft Sheet Metal.

Exercise 15 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

6 min 49 sec

Clock

We crop a plate with the help of other parts in the 3D scene.

Exercise 16 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

13 min 29 sec

Clock

We create our own Forming Tool.

Exercise 17 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

10 min 53 sec

Clock

We build a cover for a receiver.

Exercise 18 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

5 min 14 sec

Clock

We build a protective cover over a coupling with Bend features.

Exercise 19 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

5 min 56 sec

Clock

We build the same cover but with different tools - Loft Sheet Metal and Press Bend.

Exercise 20 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

7 min 32 sec

Clock

We build a ventilation hood over a welding bench using the Convert Sheet Metal tool part.

Exercise 21 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

7 min 16 sec

Clock

Finishes the ventilation hood with Bend features and uses profile handles to adjust the bends.

Exercise 22 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

5 min 40 sec

Clock

We are building a sheet metal cabinet. Here we start with the outer sheet and use the Add Miter Flange tool to copy bends around the sides.

Exercise 23 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

5 min 15 sec

Clock

Manufactures the back of the cabinet and uses the profile handles to adjust the size and position of the panel.

Exercise 24 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

4 min 10 sec

Clock

Making the base plate of the cabinet and using Add Closed Corner to close the corners and make them even.

Exercise 25 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

11 min

Clock

Manufactures the door and inserts the hinges. Uses the profile handles to adjust the size and position of the door.

Exercise 26 | Sheet Metal i IRONCAD

13 min 13 sec

Clock

We use the Code Generator tool on an unbuckled plate to add information to the dimensional and cutting drawing.

The basic training in IRONCAD is a total of 4 days, usually split (not 4 days in a row) to facilitate learning.

Participants will get a good understanding of different methods to design efficiently in 3D and how to quickly depict 3D models with associative 2D drawings in IRONCAD.

Learn the basics of part modeling, handling in assemblies, modifying imported geometry, creating and unfolding Sheet Metal parts, realistic image rendering, video animation, catalog management and much more!

Absolutely fantastic and interesting

Anders Walled

It was very good and instructive

Annica Rolf

Very good level of exercises in the academy. Started at "zero" and built up in difficulty. Would not have hurt with a section that more generally went through the program, what certain words mean and what they get for functions before it is used.

I am satisfied with the format. Knowledgeable leader and good video that leaves few questions.
