With the recent update of IronCAD DCS 2021 with PU1 and a couple of minor hotfixes, a new version of the extension IronCAD Mechanical (ICM) has also been released in May, with several new features and improvements.

News in the May version

Visit the developer's website for a complete list of the news. However, we list some of them here;

Improved import of scanned 3D DXF files

Support for a selection of element types (when dragging with the right mouse button) and adaptation for 3D DXF files scanned by a FlexiJet scanner.

Analyzing the number of holes in a model

With a simple drag-and-drop, you can now quickly find out how many cylindrical holes there are in a model. A useful area is, for example, at the quotation stage prior to the preparation of an imported (STEP) model.

See the number of linked objects in the 3D scene

By selecting a part or assembly and then dragging and dropping the Select All Linked Elements tool in the background - all links in the 3D scene are selected, regardless of where in the tree structure they are located.
