When laying out an extended sheet in an IRONCAD, it is common to want to distinguish the bending direction clearly:
Buck linesto be bent upwards are shown as solid lines
Tick lines to be ticked downwards are shown as dashed lines
This makes the drawing much easier to read in the workshop. This is very easy to change permanently in your drawing template!
Here is a complete step-by-step guide.
Before you start, it is good to know how to open and save 2D drawing templates in IRONCAD. If you are unsure, you can read our guide here:

Under the Line Types tab, you can now see what type of line and color to display for each bend direction. In this case, we only want to change Up Bend Lines to a solid line type instead of Dash:
In this case, we now select Line Type under Up Bend Lines, press the arrow to the right of the Dash and select a new line type. We will select the line type at the top of the list called 0.15 mm Dimension Line. Then press Ok followed by Ok under Styles And Layers:
Click Save to save the changes in the template, or Save As to create a copy with a new name.
The next time you place an expanded sheet on the drawing, all bend lines that are to be bent upwards will appear as solid and those that are to be bent downwards as dashed - just as the workshop expects!
With just a few clicks in the drawing template, you get a much clearer manufacturing drawing. The change applies to all future drawings that use the updated template.
