Service Pack 1 for the IronCAD DCS 2024 software suite (including IRONCAD ) is now released!

About 90 points fixed. In addition, more import/export formats are now available as options.

IronCAD LLC in Atlanta has been working hard to identify and fix various issues in IRONCAD 2024. They have a list of about 90 items that have been fixed with this Service Pack 1. Several features in the file management, sketching, 3D graphics and 2D drawing area are improved.

There is also a new possibility to export 3D files from IRONCAD in the basic version with SP1. The export function is called GLTF writer and supports version 2.0. The format can be used to display 3D models on web pages.

The analysis software MultiPhysics is also updated with this service pack.

We at Solidmakarna have tested this Service Pack 1 and have seen clear improvements in some areas where files or functions have not behaved as expected. We can recommend everyone running IRONCAD 2024 (also INOVATE, DRAFT and COMPOSE in version 2024) to install SP1.

Note: Uncheck the IC MECHANICAL option in the installation box. This is because we have a Swedish adapted version of IC Mechanical and the one included in SP1 is the American version.

If you do not, a dialog box will appear BEHIND the installation information and you will be expected to click OK. This is not really a problem, what happens otherwise is that the installation stops and waits for you to click ok on the box in the background. Your existing IC Mechanical will not be installed over even if you do not uncheck that option.

Then press Ok>

Then it looks like this, but everything is in order. Now press Finish to finish the installation.

In connection with SP1 there are now also new formats for import/export, such as IFC and Revit used in construction. More on this in a separate Update post.
