Sometimes there is the need to create a realistic thread. Maybe you want to print a screw or insert nut in your 3D printer? Or use a realistic thread in your design?

Thread Feature

Whatever your purpose, you can do this quickly and easily in IRONCAD. By using the Thread tool (under the tab Feature) you can easily control whether to add or remove material, adjust pitch, direction and even draw the 2D profile exactly as you want it.

Check out the video on Feature Thread Feature IronCAD to learn more about the command

Catalog of pre-made 3D threads

Did you know that you can also save a Thread Feature a catalog?

Easily create a "true" 3D thread by placing "pre-made" thread profiles—both internal and external—directly on a cylindrical surface.

We have compiled a selection of thread profiles ranging from 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm pitch. Of course, these dimensions can be adjusted as needed.

Download the catalog here.

Thank you to our IRONCAD at TMSYS in Poland for creating the original catalog that we used as a basis.
