Development of IRONCAD is in full swing
IronCAD has already released a beta version of the upcoming IRONCAD !
It doesn't feel like it's been that long since version 2026 was released, but the fact is that IronCAD has
The next version, 2027, is on the horizon.
Some details about what's included have already been released:
- Performance: significant improvements when opening, saving, and editing large datasets
- Limited links: a feature that allows external links to be displayed in simplified mode. Switch between this and editable mode as needed.
- Flexible Assembly: assemblies can be displayed in different views for their component assemblies
- Triball: Move by dragging the center point without needing to snap to geometry
- New camera features: Control various zoom and camera functions directly using new mouse buttons.
- Export to the *.3MF file format for printing on a 3D printer
- New features in 2D *.icd files, such as dimensioning and text boxes.
The planned release date for 2027 is in early summer.
Solidmakarna are offering a customized version as usual; it is expected to be ready after the summer.

Please note that you should not save "live" projects in the BETA version.
Please also note that files saved in version 2027 cannot be opened in version 2026.
