Most IRONCAD users create products related to mechanical engineering or product development. But there are also users who have discovered the benefits of IRONCAD's flexibility and speed in interior design and house construction. Therefore, there is a need to communicate between IRONCAD and programs that can handle the IFC format. IFC can be said to be STEP in the construction sector, a neutral format for 3D models that many programs in construction can handle.
IRONCAD has also previously had support for importing IFC through TRANSLATOR, but now there is also an export option to the IFC format.In construction and architecture, a program called Revit is sometimes used. Now with the new Architectual Translator there are opportunities to both open 3D files from and save files to the Revit format. It facilitates, for example, placing 3D models created in IRONCAD in houses with Revit.
Architectual Translator is installed with Service Pack 1 for IronCAD DCS 2024. It uses its own license file. Please contact Solidmakarna for current price.
An electronics designer can create circuit boards with associated components in his E-CAD program. This can then be saved in the IDF format. This file can IPRO Circuit open and based on the part number of the respective component create 3D geometry automatically. Also the position of each component on the circuit board is handled automatically. The result is an accurate 3D model in the IRONCAD environment. This makes it easy for the mechanical designer to create in IRONCAD internals, enclosures and connections to the electronics. Easy to optimize and to avoid collisions with precise distances. Once your model is constructed and ready for rendering, you can send your model via the Add-Ins toolbar in IronCAD DCS to KeyShot.
KeyShot will now start and your model is ready to be rendered. If you want to make any changes to your model, just switch back to IronCAD DCS and press Update to KeyShot.
