New versions of DDM are included in the support but not installation and upgrade. CSI can help with this as a consulting assignment. It is based on CSI getting access to your DDM server via Teamviewer. It usually takes a maximum of 2 hours. If it only takes 1 hour, you will be invoiced for 1 hour. The price is SEK 2,500 per hour plus VAT. It is invoiced by Solidmakarna to you. Confirm to Solidmakarna if you want to order this.
Some points to consider:
Check if your version of CAD software is supported by the version of DDM you want to upgrade to (the most common way is to upgrade to the latest version of DDM). You can see what applies via this link: https://www.designdatamanager.com/support /system-requirements/#matrix
See also server requirements on the same page. "Ensure that the server meets our requirements: Microsoft Windows Server needs to be at least 2016 and Microsoft SQL server at least 2017." Confirm that this is the case.
To use a newer version of DDM you need new license files for DDM. These are based on the MAC id from your server. It is easily accessible in DDM Admin. Please take a screenshot and email it to us where you can clearly see the MAC ID. It may take a day or 2 to get new license files so please send this information well in advance of the upgrade.
You will be given a number of dates and times to choose from for implementation.
We need the contact details of the person in your company (or external IT) who is managing this from your side.
We need login details for TeamViewer on your Server (ID and Password).
We need login details with admin rights (name and password) for you. DDM
CSI performs the update at the agreed time. No DDM client should be logged in at that time.
After the update is completed, each client will receive a message that an update needs to be done on the client, accept this and the upgrade will then take place automatically in a few minutes.
Done!
